"The Ninja Strikes Back" is tremendously entertaining, delivering sleazy and action-packed incidents from start to finish. A fight on the steps of Rome, a freeze-frame decapitation, a balding businessman being overpowered by drug addled nymphomaniacs, and a topless woman sunning herself on a beach only to then be shot at by a sniper are buy some of the many highlights.

COMBICHRIST @ ABATON

Born from the metal and hardcore soul of Norway, COMBICHRIST is the brainchild of Andy LaPlegua. Creating music for much of his life, Andy began his musical empire fronting two highly respected (but very Norway-inclusive) bands: Fleshfire, who split up after releasing an EP, and Lash Out. While playing with Lash Out, Andy felt constricted within the organic side of hardcore and metal and decided it was time to branch out work in electronics and dance beats… which began the influential and seminal band Icon Of Coil. Originally a solo adventure, Andy soon added Sebastian Komor and Christian Lund and it became Andy’s first project to be released in the US through Philadelphia’s Metropolis Records.

Stan the Man (Stanislaw Wolarz) born in 1951, Edinburgh, Scotland. Started playing guitar & bass 1964, by 1966 playing in semi-pro soul and R&B bands. 1968, emerged from the local underground scene with The Earth and with the still-notorious Johnny Fats Trio. London mid-1970´s, formed the Warp, a new wave band with strong R&B influences. Spent the 80´s in semi-retirement from music, studying, working and traveling, including France 84/85, where he played with the Johnny Otis, Fats Domino and B.B. King bands, who all (without their main men) sat in on his beachside gig every night during the Nice jazz & blues festival.
